Do your bit for men’s health by growing a moustache this #Movember.
We all know that beards have been in fashion recently. While they might look good in old photographs of Arctic explorers and on men in skinny jeans exploring Hoxton, what they can’t do is save lives. Moustaches can.
Starting this November, your office should be geared up for Movember, the month when men grow moustaches and raise money to improve the lives of chaps affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
It sounds like a silly idea, but it works. It really does. In 2013, Movember raised £20.4 million in the UK alone. Millions going to good causes, and you get a wicked moustache at the end of it.
The premise is simple, as are the rules:
- Sign up at Movember.com. On November 1st, you should be clean shaven.
- For the entire month, each Mo Bro grows and grooms a ‘tache.
- A real one. No fakes and no beards or goatees.
- Use your Mo to spark conversations about what you’re doing and raise money.
You can also get the whole office involved. In the past, Euroffice Mo Bros have grown some fantastic facial accoutrements, and our Mo Sisters joined in with stick on face fuzz. When the month is up, you can even throw a party to celebrate (and maybe a raise a bit more money too).
