What Does Your Favourite Pen Say About You?

Are you a chewed up biro or a gold nibbed fountain pen kind of person?

Your pen of choice could be giving away all your secrets, but don’t worry: we’re not here to judge. We’re just here to tell you what they’ve been saying.

Ballpoint Pens

If you are mostly a ballpoint user, you are the practical, no nonsense type. You get the job done with minimal fuss and you don’t judge a book by its cover. You are happy to use the pens the office provides; they do the job, so why use anything else? The gum in your pocket is for those moments of horror when you catch yourself chewing on the end of someone else’s already chewed Bic Cristal – eeewww

Marker Pens

Are markers made for you?  Just like the big, bold marker, you are not one to shy away from a challenge. You are loud and proud and tell it like it is. You are a quick thinker and you love throwing ideas around. You can usually be found with your beloved flipchart or whiteboard conducting a brainstorming session. Not you? Then you must be a power seller on an online auction site and you can pack ten boxes in under two minutes.

Highlighters

Is the zip on your pencil case refusing to budge in protest against the high volume of highlighters stuffed inside? If so, you could well be a student or someone with a very hectic work schedule. You are a visual learner and organisation is your strong point. Highlighting helps you stay focused and ensures you don’t miss any key points. Spellcheck is your besty and lateness is your pet hate, it’s just bad manners right?

Fountain Pens

Fountain pens suggest you are old-fashioned at heart. Despite the advances of technology, you still like to use pen and paper for your first draft even though it’s more time consuming. It’s all about quality over quantity with you. You take your time to get things right and have an eye for detail. Your fountain pen, when not being used, is usually peeping out from a suit jacket or shirt pocket as a subtle reminder that you mean business.

Rollerball Pens

Rollerballs with their inky lines and no fuss tip give you the best of both worlds. Dare I suggest you like to have your cake and eat it? You are efficient, strong-willed and you won’t settle for second best. You say what you mean and mean what you say, and you expect the same from others.

Erasable Ink Pens

Never without your erasable ink pen? You are a bit of a neat freak and a perfectionist. You love being able to erase and rewrite, and if people want to believe you are nothing less than perfect, who are you to set them straight?

Novelty Pens

Are novelty pens your thing?  Your pen pot is a mixture of amusing pens, cute pens and character pens, and which pen you choose that day will depend on your mood. You are fun-loving and a bit of a joker. You’re not ashamed to admit you enjoy watching the odd cartoon or two, and you still have your favourite childhood toy stored in the attic.

Multi-functional Pens

Are multi-functional pens more your style?  You like to be kept busy, and multi-tasking is what you’re all about. Why have 5 different tools when you can have one that does them all, making life a little easier and your pockets a lot lighter? You move with the times and keep up to date with the latest technology. You love your gadgets, but you always do your research before buying.
