As 2016’s banner begins to unfurl, ushering in new opportunities, challenges and 366* new dawns, we’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year.
But you can’t say goodbye to the old year without thinking about all those resolutions for the year ahead.
From the business point of view, here at Euroffice we’re looking forward to sharing all sorts of useful office products in the 365 days to come and helping people across our green and pleasant land have an easier time at work, school and home.
My own resolution is to try to keep up with the good habits and promises I made to myself already this year.
Some people may feel they have to keep adding fresh resolutions, piling up the pressure to perform (only to get frustrated if they occasionally falter).
This may sound strange, but it reminds me of a comment made by Bruce Lee: ‘I fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who had practiced one kick 10,000 times’.
It’s also good to commit to small and simple ideas, instead of making grand plans.
So it may be that we’re excited about a chance to make small changes to our lives, to take up those hobbies we never got into, to meet those friends we started to lose touch with and read those books that are sitting on our bookshelves, waiting for attention.
Whichever route you choose, we hope to see you again in 2016, and once again, Happy New Year.
*It’s a leap year.
