Stop Smoking with Stoptober
This October give yourself a chance to put down the cigs for good with Stoptober – and why not support your colleagues to take part too?
#StopSmoking for 28 days and you’re five times more likely to stop smoking for good. That’s the Stoptober challenge. More than 150,000 people across the UK have signed up, hoping to…
Improve their health
Get your sense of taste back, breathe more easily and improve your fitness overall.
Save loads of money
Most people who quit smoking save £150 a month. That’s almost £2,000 a year. More money means more fun and less stress.
Be there for the family
Smoking leads to an increased risk of cancer for you and secondhand smoke, even if you can’t see it, increases the chance of your kids getting cancer.
What’s also great is there are a number of resources to help you on your ‘unsmoking’ journey, including a community on Facebook (of course), Twitter and an app for daily support. I’m not sure about the doctor who’s fronting it, though.
So what are you waiting for? Spread the word with your co-workers to form a support group, stock up on no-smoking signs, make sure there are plenty of ashtrays around the office for those last-drag butts and start your #Stoptober journey.

It is always great to support colleagues who are taking part in Stoptober, it ultimately benefits everyone and it can be tough for those who are taking the step to stop. Good on ya’ll who are getting on board.
Yep, it must be terribly difficult for people to stop smoking. The more help they can get, the better.
