The Easter holidays are coming up and kids around the country are going to be glued to their computers and tablets.  But what if they could spend time with mum and dad, bond do something enjoyable and learn at the same time?

It’s National Stationery Week 2014, aimed at celebrating writing and creative and graphic skills. But it’s also a chance to get your little ones to start writing, whether that’s simply scrawling the alphabet or putting together a story spun out of their imagination. We’ve found some resources, from printable mazes to worksheets, to help you and your child get creative.

Just one more thought: if you have spare stationery lying around – a bunch of extra pencils or half-used notepads, for example, it may be a good idea to make up a box and give it to your local school or playgroup. They’re bound to give the children, hours of extra fun.

Interesting. I always encourage the kids to write and draw. A good balance between manual and electronics 🙂

Jumpers and goalposts are great, Neon. Just make sure to write about them game afterwards. 😉

All good ideas to keep the kids amused, but whatever happened to putting 2 jumpers down and using them as goal posts ? It kept our gang amused for years !!
